this is a long shot but I figure it's worth a try.

I'm going to be an RA at Skidmore this summer, and I'm driving up from western CT. If anyone else in the NYC/New Haven area needs a ride to Skidmore this summer and wants to split the cost of gas with me, my car is small but formidable!

eschewcapitals: college post

(i know there was some controversy over this last year, but hopefully no one will be offended if i make this post- i'm just hoping i'll be going to school with some ctyers next year.)

so, graduating seniors, where are you going to college next year? or, what are your other post-graduation plans? (or, where are you currently if you feel like sharing?) i'll be going to trinity college in CT.

math_net: Stanford Luncheon?

Is anyone else going to the CTY Alum Luncheon on the 21st?

Fri, Jan. 2nd, 2009, 10:20 am
sangwich: Grand Central Terminal at 11:30

A bunch of CTY (SAR, but come meet us if we don't know you) kids circa 1998-present will be bumming around New York today, and I figured it was worth posting a very-short-notice alert here. The group will probably dissolve around 5 or 6 p.m. If you want to get in touch, please do! (If you're frantically searching for an avenue of communication, email me at lee-kai@mit.edu, which I'll have access to all day.)

math_net: Not really CTY related, but...

it's still pretty awesome.

Just in case anyone hadn't heard about this, there's going to be a nationwide protest against the passing of Proposition 8 on Saturday, November 15th 10:30am PST/1:30 pm EST.  For more information about it, visit:

Also, if you haven't heard anything about Proposition 8, it banned same-sex marriage here in California after the Supreme Court made it legal in May, so while same-sex couples had the right to marry for about 5 months, that right has now been taken back.

azurelunatic: More networking

For those who do the Facebook thing, there's an Official CTY group for alumni:

They seem to be having a 1980s CTY alumni reunion, too.

I just found my memory book (the one people write in, not the one CTY puts out) from my first through third years.  I had thought that it was lost forever.

So here's a little love for all of you, and a thanks.
